I have this router, works flawlessly but if you have a lot of other wireless devices as I do,

you may see much better results by changing the router channel. Mine saw a tenfold speed

increase going from channel 1 to 11.

I think it needs to be noted that for the Linksys WRT54G that certain versions of it do NOT

work seamlessly. In fact, certain versions make it so you get the an error code consistently

and very RARELY actually connect with someone on your FC list. I believe it was v.4 that I

had previously and had never-ending problems with nearly everyone I tried to connect with.

It's only a few select versions that have this problem. I believe it's v.6 I currently have and it

works with little to no problems.

Keep it on mixed but change the wireless broadcast channel to 1 or 11. Nintendo even says

those channels are potentially faster and more reliable.

This router is the same as the WRT54G except it has double the memory and RAM, so it's

possible to easily flash third-party firmware on it. Also, it boasts detachable, upgradeable

antennas unlike the latest versions of the WRT54G. So far it's the best wireless device I've

ever owned, requiring no reboots whatsoever.

Setup was as simple as entering the WEP key into the wireless clients. The router fully

works with everything I throw at it, including the Wii and DS. After testing it for a while, I

flashed it to a custom firmware called DD-WRT, which opens up many new possibilities. The
